Papertrey Ink October Blog Hop

Today, I'm participating in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

Our challenge was to use this beautiful photo as inspiration:

Isn't it beautiful?
Here's the card that it inspired...

I started by stamping my sentiment from Phrases and Praises in
PTI Ocean Tides ink on stamper's select white cardstock, to match the colours of the pumpkins.
I made a border for my card with soft stone cardstock, stamped with the woodgrain stamp
from Concord & 9th.
I wet some watercolour paper and coloured over it with two Zig Markers
and then went over the colouring with water.
Once it was dry, I splattered ink mixed with water over top.
Once that was dry, I diecut some Fancy Foliage Detail dies from it.

A trio of pure poppy buttons and some button twine finishes it off.

Thanks for looking!

I love everything about this card, Leigh: the colorful Fancy Foliage leaves, the woodgrain border, the bright buttons and the muted blue sentiment. I also love that you left in some of the pieces of the leaves -- it adds interest. Altogether a very eye-pleasing card!

Those fabulous leaves! I just love them! It's fun to see a cluster of buttons too, we don't see them like we used to, and they're one of my favorite embellishments. Awesome card!
